Philippe Van Den Bossche: Can Gardening Aid Depression?

By Rob Sutter

When it comes to the idea of depression, I would like to think that everyone has an outlet to speak of. Philippe van den Bossche understands this as well and there are many different points which can help to make said depression go down substantially. However, what if I were to tell you that gardening can potentially help out more than any other process that can be thought of? I believe that there are many points to consider and that each of them can be deemed important, too.

I believe that there are many different aspects that can come into play with gardening but going outside is just one of them. Fresh air seems to have a certain impact on one's mood and I feel as though this is just one element to take into account. This is easily one of the deepest details that can be taken into account. However, there is more to consider if you want to make the most out of the best gardening efforts that can be imagined.

It isn't like there weren't studies done on the matter, especially when it came to Gardener's World. The magazine performed a poll on 1,500 adults and it was found that those who go about gardening actually feel much better about their lives than those who do not partake in gardening. Of course, the emotional and mental benefits are not the only ones that can arise from gardening. If you want to cultivate crops, you can rest easy knowing that you will be helped from a physical standpoint, too.

It's not hard to see why, especially when you start to learn more about the efforts put forth by Philippe van den Bossche. Names like Philippe understand that, when bringing food into consumption, you should attempt to go for the items that are most organic. These are the ones which are grown with natural means set in place as opposed to pesticides, for example. When you consider that everyone has a choice on the matter, don't you deserve the best for the investment that you put forth?

I do not think that anyone can argue against the benefits of gardening, especially considering that there are more than a few to consider. Anyone can probably imagine that, if crops come into effect, one's diet will be helped in the long term. That being said, Philippe van den Bossche knows that there is more than what exists on the surface, which is where the idea of mood comes into play. There are few hobbies that I can support more than that of gardening and for good reasons.
